I loved using Scoop.it! and I am still updating my magazine on Massive Open Online Courses. It is a great format for curating information and sharing it easily to a wide range of people.
Modern education is more of a creative and collaborative process, than the traditional memorize and repeat. It is a world where anyone can add to the body of knowledge, and this innovative perspective should create an exponential growth in human achievement.
Scoop.it! is a cursory tool to begin bringing together a body of knowledge. It has the potential to support the educational goals of identifying relevant information for analysis and interpretation. As Noam Chomsky said in his talk on the Purpose of Education, education is about:
“cultivating that capacity to seek what’s significant”
and Scoop.it! begins this process.
